Who should join?
Parents and older children wanting to create detailed safety plans for various situations and emergencies, including natural disasters, home safety protocols, driving and outings and introductory gun safety that can help keep everyone safe and secure. Children should be at least 10 years old and able to sit for at least 1.5 hours through the lesson (break at 1.5 hours).
What topics are covered?
Home safety, emergency responses, and outing precautions are crucial considerations for every household. It is essential to understand various safety protocols and emergency plans that can protect your family, ensuring that you are prepared for unexpected situations, such as natural disasters or medical emergencies. Furthermore, when planning outings, it is important to familiarize yourself with the necessary precautions that can help ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone involved.
How long is the course?
The course runs is a three hour course. You'll be sent home with materials to build you're own action plan and how to implement it.
Is prior experience needed?
No experience is needed; the course is beginner-friendly at targeted at parents of children of all ages. Children age 10 and above are invited to attend to join in making the safety plan.
